LUMINEERS : they are extremely thin , tooth coloured shells which can be fixed in front surface of the tooth. They can be used to fix crooked teeth, chipped tooth, stained tooth , closure of gaps and restoring size of worn out tooth. Lumineers are thinner than veneers and refracts natural light much better than veneers. They are very strong too.
VENEERS : they are made of porcelain material which can be placed over the tooth, can be shaped as needed. Since porcelains don’t stain so veneers remains stain free for a long period.
INVISIBLE BRACES : as opposed to traditional braces, invisible braces are thin plastic trays which are needed to be worn over the teeth for certain period of time. These trays can be removed by patient themselves. Since these are transparent hence aesthetically pleasing.
RESIN BONDING : cosmetic correction by using resin bonding materials commonly known as composite material can also be done . Here tooth shade and composite material shade to be used are determined and matched before the procedure and then the material is layered over the areas requiring correction and polished. The resin bonded materials gets discoloured over a period of time as composite resins takes up stains fairly quickly hence it might require frequent changing and or polishing. It is hence not advised to patients who are avid caffeine addicted and or to people who consumes lots of coloured food and beverages.
